IPMA Competences

The 3rd version of the ICB, issued in 2006, defines 46 professional competence elements as the elements required by professionals, and divides them into:

15 behavioural competence elements
11 contextual competence elements
20 technical competence elements

PRINCE II Training & Certification 2009

The Cyprus Project Management Society (CPMS), in cooperation with the University of Nicosia, will be offering the prestigious "PRINCE2^TM" training and exam certification in Cyprus.

Duration

This intensive 5 day course will take place between the 7th and 11th of December 2009, between 8:30 and 17:00 at the premises of the University of Nicosia.

Course Aims

To provide detailed instruction on the use and application of the PRINCE2^TM methodology and on how to facilitate a controlled start, middle and end to project delivery. PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments), is a formal method for managing projects.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will:

- Have a practical understanding of PRINCE2^TM

- Be Familiar with the course content and be prepared for the Foundation and Practitioner Exams

- Have a high-level overview of the PRINCE2^TM method, its' history, supporting documentation.

- Be familiar with the PRINCE2^TM Components

- Be familiar with PRINCE2^TM Techniques related to starting, directing and managing a project

A de facto standard used extensively by the UK Government and widely recognised and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally. The key features of PRINCE2 are:

A PRINCE2^TM approved trainer since 2000 with extensive expertise. She was on the Change Control Panel for the PRINCE2 2009 version and has also advised on the syllabus and provided input on the PRINCE2 quality examination standards.
