Why join the CPMS?
Information for individuals or professionals interested in the area of project management and on the benefits they will have if they join the Cyprus Project Management Society.

IPMA Competences
The 3rd version of the ICB, issued in 2006, defines 46 professional competence elements as the elements required by professionals, and divides them into:

Thank you for your interest in joining the Cyprus Project Management Society (CPMS). The CPMS is a non-profit organization (Reg. # 3093), established in Cyprus as of February 2008.
As of September 2008 the CPMS has joined the International Project Management Association (www.ipma.ch) family, a prestigious project management standards organization, as a transitional national member association, representing the IPMA and promoting its activities in Cyprus.
Membership to the CPMS is open to individuals engaged and/or interested in the area of project management and the application of project management standards. The CPMS has two types of memberships:
i. Full Membership: May be awarded to individuals, irrespective of gender, employed in Cyprus or abroad, which possess accredited University degree relevant to project management or at least five year certified professional experience in the area of project management or relevant professional certification or academic degree.
ii. Associated Membership: Individuals interested in the objectives and the activities of the Society can become associated members provided that they are adults.
How can I apply?
1. Submit a printed copy of the membership application form and all Mandatory Items (2.1 Below), either by postal mail to P.O. Box 27757, 2433, Nicosia, Cyprus, or by e-mail to membership@cpms.org.cy.
ALL candidates must contact the CPMS at membership@cpms.org.cy in order to obtain the latest version of the application form and to determine membership category eligibility and the latest membership fees.
2. Mandatory Items: Candidates should be aware that incomplete sets of applications, not accompanied by all Mandatory Items (2.1 Below), may not be evaluated by the Membership Committee.
2.1 Mandatory Items:
Applications are considered complete when the following items are submitted:
i. Signed Application Form
ii. Brief Resume
iii. Copy of University Degree (s)
iv. Registration fee
v. Copy of identification (I.D., Passport)
2.2 Registration fee: Cheques must be payable to the "Cyprus Project Management Society" and must be mailed to P.O. Box 27757, 2433, Nicosia, Cyprus. Cheques for applications submitted by e-mail, must be accompanied with a signed copy of the submitted application.
2.3 Optional Items: The Membership Committee maintains the right to request one or all Optional Items (2.4 Below) from a candidate, or any of the information submitted with this application, during the evaluation of the membership application or after the membership award.
2.4 Optional Items:
i. Copy of Professional Certificate (s)
ii. Certification for experience claimed
iii. Professional Reference Letters
Upon receipt, the application will be reviewed by the Membership Committee of the CPMS. A reply regarding the disposition of the application will be sent back to the applicant as soon as it is evaluated by the Membership Committee.
